SSMC adds Gonzalez to its ProTECH team in Ohio

Select Sires Member Cooperative (SSMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Francisco Gonzalez to SSMC. He serves dairy producers in north central Ohio as a Professional Artificial Insemination (A.I.) Technician as part of the ProTECH team. In his role, Francisco will work with member-owners to meet their daily reproductive goals. He will partner with SSMC customers in the territories serviced by SSMC Account Managers Kevin Hinds and Luke Hilton.

Upon graduation from The University of Guadalajara in Mexico with a veterinary and animal science degree, Francisco worked for the Mexican government in the state of Jalisco as an animal health inspector. He later transitioned to La Parota Livestock Farm, where he focused on cattle reproduction. These skills were further enhanced when he enrolled in ProTECH school, instructed by SSMC Professional A.I. Technician and ProTECH Training and Development Specialist, Norberto Martinez.

“I am excited to be working and contributing to livestock reproductive efficiency, providing my knowledge and professional skills to generate positive results for our clients and Select Sires Member Cooperative,” shared Francisco.

“Francisco is a great addition to our team. He is knowledgeable about reproduction, technically precise, and truly cares about the success of our customers. His months of PROTECH training on large farms in Texas and New Mexico allowed him to develop his skills to the highest level. I am confident our customers will appreciate Francisco’s talent and enjoy working with him,” commented Scott Winchell, Technician Services Manager in Ohio for SSMC.

Francisco enjoys being outdoors, hiking, visiting national parks, interacting with animals, and helping people.
