Shane Boettcher Joins SSMC Mexico Team
September 16, 2024 - Select Sires Member Cooperative is pleased to announce Shane Boettcher will be assuming additional responsibilities in his role as a key client specialist. In recognition of his outstanding performance and impact, Shane will add the Northern Mexico area to work along side Eder Martinez with a large herd reproductive focus. As a seasoned dairy industry expert with over 32 years of experience, Shane assists dairy member-owners with reproductive performance analysis, genetic development consulting and revenue opportunity discovery in Northern and Central Minnesota, North Dakota and now expanded Northen Mexico. Since joining the team in 2013, he excelled as a professional service technician and was later promoted to key account specialist. He has strengthened relationships and business acumen to win the trust and respect of the herds he works with which he will use to serve Mexico producers.
Shane's diverse background includes managing large dairy farms in California and Texas. While there, he gained expertise in sire selection, employee training, herd performance evaluation, protocol implementation, payroll, and profit and loss statements. For seven years, he also owned and operated a Holstein and Jersey dairy farm in Tillamook, Oregon. Shane attended the University of Minnesota and was an active member of the dairy judging team, Gopher Dairy Club, Delta Theta Sigma fraternity and the Minnesota Holstein Association.
His dedication to the dairy industry has earned him numerous accolades, including the 2020 CowManager® Specialist of the Year, Select Sires' Super Achiever award, and the 2021 Select Reproductive Solutions (SRS) of the year. Shane's lifelong passion for dairy farming and his commitment to supporting producers in enhancing profitability and efficiency make him a highly valued advisor in the industry.
