James Gomes Joins ProTECH Team, Serving Oregon Producers
Select Sires Member Cooperative recently welcomed James Gomes as part of the ProTECH team in western Oregon. As a Professional A.I. relief technician and a member of the ProTECH team, he will provide coverage for the area technician group while contacting producers and managing customer routes. James’ duties on these routes include sales, A.I., products, and services that meet the needs of SSMC member-owners and customers in his area.
James grew up on his family dairy in Tillamook, Ore., where he grew his passion for animal agriculture. After learning to breed cows through an A.I. class, James looked to use his skills in the A.I. industry. “I am looking forward to working with our member-owners and their animals, helping customers improve the genetics in their herds,” said James.
Pat Wolf, Technician Services Manager in the northwest United States, stated, “James’ familiarity with our customers and knowledge of the area make him an excellent addition to our team in western Oregon.”
In his free time, James enjoys doing outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. With a strong interest in mechanics, he spends his time working on trucks and cars.
