Ana Carolina Rodrigues to lead SSMC Animal Products Portfolio

Select Sires Member Cooperative (SSMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Ana Carolina Rodrigues. In the newly created Animal Products Manager role, Ana Carolina will maximize current opportunities and seek new ones to amplify the portfolio of products available to dairy and beef producers. She will use her knowledge and experience to serve as a bridge between SSMC’s central portfolio strategy and field-level selling.

As a native of Brazil, Ana Carolina earned a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine and a master’s degree in management and innovation in animal science from São Paulo State University and University of São Paulo, respectively. Ana Carolina has extensive experience in the nutrition, animal health, and genetics sectors. She spent five years with Cargill developing expansion strategies and sales channels. Ana Carolina developed customer-facing educational presentations to highlight animal nutrition additives and marketing initiatives with Phibro Animal Health, as well as providing technical support to dairy and beef farmers featuring multiple animal health product lines. Early in her career, she worked for another A.I. organization involving international market processes and analysis.

SSMC has a wide breadth of products addressing cow and calf health and performance. These solutions are designed to maximize the return on your genetic investments. Ana Carolina will lead the launch of new products by developing the best strategies for bringing solutions to our members. Her knowledge will bridge the highly technical aspects of the science behind our products with the common-sense application necessary on today’s progressive operations. In this way, producers can make informed/profit-based decisions, reinforcing the company’s cooperative spirit and credibility in the industry.

As an integral member of SSMC, Ana Carolina will not only work closely with the sales and service teams, but with operations, finance, distribution, product suppliers, and marketing communications to ensure this aspect of our portfolio is in a strong position. Genetics, animal monitoring, ProTECH A.I. services, and animal products are the portfolio of solutions designed to help our members succeed that are offered by SSMC.

While Iowa is her home, she will be supporting team members across SSMC's 27 states and Mexico.
